About Us

Having recently undergone a positive management restructure, Nedlon Civils has repositioned itself to provide one of the most professional and cost-effective services to the construction industry.

With over eight years of experience and providing work for significant partners, we anticipate our growth plan will come to fruition in the coming months and years.

With our team of experts, we have successfully delivered numerous projects from local authority schemes to major government projects, and we continue to tend for time and budget-sensitive contracts.

Our works include road works, car parks, bridge works, and town centre regeneration.  We also provide certified project management, ensuring seamless contracting from beginning to end, regardless of size or complexity.

Our Policies

Nedlon Civils Limited takes ESG issues associated with its operations very seriously; whilst we are proactive in ensuring we integrate ESG, it is
essential that as we grow, we continue to assess our approach and reaffirm that what we are doing is in line with our beliefs and principles. To this end, this ESG Policy and its processes are reviewed and updated annually.

Our ESG statement can sum up Nedlon Civils Limited’s approach to ESG: “ESG issues can and do have an impact on performance, and we have a duty to act responsibly, to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance factors into our business planning to have a positive
impact on our society, our prosperity, and our environment.” Nedlon Civils Limited defines issues as “numerous and ever-changing factors that impact upon our environment, our society and effective governance”.

Office Space
Nedlon Civils Limited occupies a single site, shared office space in the central Midlands so, unlike many other companies, employees do not need to travel between sites/offices. The following is not an exhaustive list but serves to outline the principal arrangements in place for the management of the environmental and social impact of the office.
Recycling
The company operates a rigorous primary, secondary, and tertiary recycling scheme that limits waste production. We recycle, where possible, any waste generated by the administration team including all paper, toners, and packaging materials, and any material waste
generated by production is recycled responsibly by an external compliant company.
Heating/Cooling systems & Lighting
The heating and air conditioning systems are maintained to ensure that they work efficiently and at optimum temperatures to limit energy wastage.
The lights in the building are energy efficient, and all lighting operates either via motion sensors or on a timer so that they automatically switch off when not required.
Printing
We operate a 'print only if necessary policy, and print settings will default to double-sided printing and the use of recycled and recyclable paper.
Travel
Nedlon Civils Limited employees do travel to see potential projects and meet with partners, but at this stage, all travel is limited to the UK. Trains and other forms of environmentally friendly transport are always preferred, and journeys are scheduled where possible so that long-distance trips and/or deliveries incorporate multiple meetings or appointments.
Third-Party providers
Before engaging with third-party providers, Nedlon Civils Limited will often undertake an RFP process, and where practicable this will involve an assessment of their approach to ESG to ensure we work with partners who have a similar ethos to our own.

Health and Safety
Nedlon Civils Limited takes health and safety in the workplace very seriously. All employees undergo a health and safety assessment of their workplace when joining the organisation and are provided with a company handbook with regulations and standards regarding health and safety compliance whilst at work. Whilst not all of our accreditations specifically mention safety, we must meet the safety requirements of interested parties, identify hazards and take action to reduce risks and provide a safe work environment.

Remuneration structures
Nedlon Civils Limited has established remuneration structures that are competitive and transparent.
Auditor Selection
Nedlon Civils Limited are not a PLC and, as such, do not require an audit however, our company accounts are prepared and filed by an external team of independent accountants.  Should you wish to view our filed accounts, they can be viewed here at Companies House.

Anti-Bribery & Integrity Policy Statement

We have a zero-tolerance for bribery and corrupt activities. In that case, we may be subjected to an unlimited fine, be excluded from tendering for public contracts, and face severe damage to our reputation. It is that we commit to preventing bribery and corruption in our business and take our legal responsibilities seriously.

Equal Opportunities Policy Statement
Nedlon Civils Limited is an equal opportunities employer.  We are committed to ensuring that all our staff and applicants for employment are protected from unlawful discrimination in employment. What is discrimination?  Direct discrimination occurs when someone is treated less favourably because of a Protected Characteristic (sex, age, race, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership status or gender reassignment) about their employment. Direct discrimination may even occur unintentionally. Indirect discrimination occurs where a provision, criterion or practice applied to everyone puts individuals with a Protected Characteristic at a disadvantage, which cannot be justified. Victimisation occurs were an individual is treated less favourably than colleagues because they have taken action to assert their statutory rights or assisted a colleague with information in that regard.

Harassment occurs when an individual is subjected to unwanted conduct that has the purpose or effect of violating that person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for the individual. This can include harassment related to a Protected Characteristic of the victim or another person (i.e., a colleague). This means that any comments or actions directed at
a person who relates to another person still constitutes harassment and is, therefore, unlawful.
